Welcome to our short reflection on The Feast of the Ascension, celebrated forty days after Easter. This day is a major event in the Christian calendar, and, as a proper feast day, is a good excuse for a bit of a party.
Do join us for worship
Welcome to our Sunday service for the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Thank you to all who contributed.
We invite you to join us for a short service, reflecting on God's call on our lives, as we keep 'Vocation Sunday'.
Church buildings are closed, but the church itself is alive and well. This morning's service has been created by people from across our four parishes. Do join us.
Today's theme is about Jesus' appearance to his frightened disciples after his resurrection, who are themselves in lockdown, and particularly his encounter with Thomas, who has his doubts. 'Nothing can trouble, nothing can frighten, those who seek God shall never go wanting. God alone fills us'. - Teresa of Avila (1515-1582) The words above are used in a Taize chant and are included as part of today's worship, inviting us to rest in the Almighty.
