On a Sunday

June 2021 update

Our church building has started to open up both for public worship and private prayer.

Our provision for children currently includes:

  • A monthly Family Service, first Sunday of the month in the church building
  • A weekly children's newsletter, full of stories and activities
  • A private facebook group for families in the Benefice
  • Videos, shared on our YouTube channel, to support Acts of Collective Worship in our local primary schools
  • Ad-hoc events (such as our 2021 Summer Club) , challenges and YouTube videos specifically for children

For more information about any of these, please contact Lisa Horton, our Children and Families Worker on horton2517@sky.com

Children are warmly welcome at any of our services. However, due to current covid-related restrictions on worship, you may find that our morning services in the church building on Sundays and Wednesdays do not hold their interest. We're sorry about that, and hope that we can change what we offer soon. Our monthly 4pm Family Service is much more fun, accessible and interactive and we would encourage you to bring children to that.

The information below relates to our worship before the current pandemic.

Children are warmly welcome at any of our services, but you may find that the most suitable ones to bring children to are the Family Worship service at 4.00pm on the 1st Sunday of the month, and the 10.30am All-Age communion service at 10.30am on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

10.30am service

There is a children's corner in the church, with a carpet and toys, which children are welcome to use during the service if they wish. There is juice and biscuits available for children during coffee time after the service. On the 3rd Sunday of the month the service is designed to be all age friendly.

4.00pm service

On the 1st Sunday of the month there is a special family-friendly service at 4.00pm followed by a bring-and-share tea. See the News pages for a flier for the next Family Worship.
