Children's Summer Club

Monday 9 - Friday 13 August

We are hoping to run a week long children’s Summer Holiday Club jointly with the Harton Benefice.

It will run from 9am –1:30pm and include crafts, games  and activities.

We need helpers to help run the activities with us so if you are able to help out whether it’s for the week or just a couple of mornings please message Lisa Horton at horton2517@sky.com. Without additional helpers we cannot run the club. Thanks very much.

Churchyard Wildlife Count

Saturday 12 June

10.00am—12:30pm at Holy Trinity, Stockton, and
2.00pm—4.30pm at St Nicholas, Dunnington

Caring for creation is one of the church’s key missions, but how can we do that if we don’t know what we have?

Come and join us in the churchyards of Holy Trinity and St Nicholas and help survey the biodiversity as part of the national 'Churches Count on Nature' initiative.

No specialist skills needed. There will be wildlife experts on hand to help you identify your finds. Additionally, if you can, bring a smart phone with the free 'iRecord' or ‘iNaturalist’ app installed - you’ll be able to get instant expert help with your identification by uploading photos of what you see! Our findings will be added to a national database.

Nature Detective activities will be provided for children, to help everyone of all ages to get involved, and refreshments will be available.

For more information, please email Lisa Horton at horton2517@sky.com or Colin Beale.

Building Work Appeal

In December 2020 we launched our appeal to raise £100K for essential building maintenance. Most significantly the Tower Room roof needs a complete rebuild and the heating system needs replacing.

Donations specifically for this appeal can also be made online using the dedicated link

  Fabric

Alternatively, cash or cheques (made payable to Dunnington PCC) can be put through the Rectory Letterbox (Church Street) or via your normal church contacts. Please mark the envelope with “fabric donation”. This will ensure your donation is assigned to the fabric fund used specifically for this work.

If you can gift-aid your donations this would be appreciated as this will enable us in addition to claim some tax back. Gift-aid envelopes are available in the church or from the Church Wardens or download the DPCC Gift Aid Declaration Form

For further information, advice or assistance on any of these methods, please contact our treasurer or churchwardens.

THANK YOU!
