Dunnington in Bloom
Just a brief but heartfelt thank you. Our annual leaflet drop, inviting donations to Bloom’s funds, was already in the pipeline when all our lives were suddenly put on hold. We all know that in recent weeks charities have experienced a massive fall in giving, so it would have been very understandable if our request had gone unheard. Not so.
We are more than ever grateful to those who have decided that love and pride in our own village remains vitally important in difficult times. In fact it’s a sign of hope for our future. Thank you indeed to those who have contributed towards the total of over two thousand pounds received to date. It gives us all heart.

Dunnington Cancer Support Group - supporting Supporting York Against Cancer
We had a very successful fashion show and raised the phenominal amount of £1620:00. We hope you all enjoyed the show and thank those who supported us. We were very lucky to get the show done, as shortly afterwards the reading room closed.
Due to the current situation the charity shop is closed, but as soon as we are allowed we will be back up and running again.
We were due to have a fashion show at Stamford bridge on the 30th May which is now cancelled. So we have now donated all the raffle prizes, biscuits, chocolates etc to the Beaumont Nursing home at Stamford Bridge to thank them for allowing us to have a fashion show there last year.
We would like to thank you all for your support, and look forward to seeing you all again soon and please stay safe.

2nd Tuesday Rides from Dunnington
A small group of local cyclists has been going out on the second Tuesday of the month at 10.30am from the Cross Keys in Dunnington. For obvious reasons these rides are cancelled for the time being. However, don’t lose your cycling legs – cycling is one of the permitted forms of exercise at the moment. So do get out there but don’t stray too far from home. Aren’t we lucky to live among such beautiful countryside? Reduced traffic means the roads are so much quieter and cycling safer. Enjoy solo cycling and be ready to join the group again when it reconvenes. Take care. Any queries to Alison Holmes 07581149056
