Evening Fellowship Group

This group is for anyone who wants to meet with other Christians to read the Bible, discuss issues of faith, pray together and enjoy tea/coffee and excellent home baking!

We meet once a month on a Wednesday, often, but not always, the third Wednesday of the month. Please check the calendar to find the next meeting. We gather from 7.30pm for a 7.45pm start.

We currently meet in the home of Colin and Victoria Beale, 9 Church Balk, Dunnington. We are happy to move from home to home if this would make it easier for anyone wishing to join the group.

All welcome!

If you would be interested in coming along, please contact the group organiser Pamela White (Tel. 489849, evenings) for more information.

Summer and Autumn 2018

The Evening Fellowship Group will be starting a new series of monthly discussion evenings, beginning on Wednesday 16 May and concluding in October.

In this series our discussions will reflect on clips from the film “I, Daniel Blake” (2016), which was directed by Ken Loach.  The award-winning film, set in Tyneside, follows one man’s struggle to obtain the welfare benefits he needs to survive when he becomes unable to work through ill health.  The evenings will include reading and responding to passages from the Bible, and time for prayer. The studies provide an opportunity to examine why so many people in our society are suffering, to look at causes of injustice and oppression, and to be challenged to find ways to respond.
