University of York virtual Discovery Zone.
A fantastic selection of free, fun activities have been launched as part of York Festival of Ideas 2020 online. Aimed at school-age children and their families, each activity page provides a list of what you will need, a video showing you what to do, and useful web links. Making glitch art, creating a speaking machine and making prehistoric cheese are just a few of the fascinating activities on offer. Step inside the virtual Discovery Zone.
Bingo!
Lisa Horton, our churches' Children and Families worker, has put together a bingo game for children. Choose one of these bingo sheets, then watch this Nature Bingo video and tick things off the sheet as you spot them on the video. Only one of the Bingo sheets has got 12 correct pictures on, the rest have some red herrings!

Local
Wild at Home is a blog produced by a local Dunnington resident for sharing activities for enjoying and helping wildlife at, or near, your home.
Your may already have seen her Chalk Notes on pavements around Dunnington - these aim to make walks around the village more interesting by helping and encouraging people to notice some of the wildlife along the way. So look out for some chalked messages and see what you can spot and learn!
