The Evening Fellowship Group will be starting a new series of monthly discussion evenings, beginning on Wednesday 16 May 2018 and concluding in October 2018.

In this series our discussions will reflect on clips from the film “I, Daniel Blake” (2016), which was directed by Ken Loach.  The award-winning film, set in Tyneside, follows one man’s struggle to obtain the welfare benefits he needs to survive when he becomes unable to work through ill health.  The evenings will include reading and responding to passages from the Bible, and time for prayer. The studies provide an opportunity to examine why so many people in our society are suffering, to look at causes of injustice and oppression, and to be challenged to find ways to respond.
