Leading Your Church into Growth (LYCiG)

Growth can be defined in different ways: numerical growth sees more people getting involved; spiritual growth sees people becoming more like Jesus; and servanthood growth sees the church together having an increased impact in the local community.

Growth does not have to be fast, big or spectacular. Modest, gradual and on-going growth is just as important and is probably closer to the experience of most churches. Church growth is not about a bigger church for its own sake, but rather about more of God’s lost children being found and his world being transformed.

The plan is then to run three LYCiG sessions before the summer, and three afterwards. These are for all members of our congregation, and are a combination of teaching and discussion. Together, we will develop a plan for growth for St Nicholas Church, which we shall commit to work at over the following year or two.
