Saturday 6th July 201910:00Discipleship Day
Do join us for our third Discipleship Day of 2019, on the theme: "To be a pilgrim: A reflective morning in company with John Bunyan, Robert Louis Stevenson, and God.” The day will be led by Revd Roy Shaw, who is a retired priest and former Social Worker. He is part of the leadership of the SPIDIR course, which teaches spiritual direction. Coffee available from 9.45am for a 10.00am start. Please bring something for a Bring and Share lunch, about 12.00 noon, if you are able to stay. There will be another Discipleship Day on 21 September.

A communion service with music.
16:00Family Worship & Picnic
A family-focused, informal and interactive service with modern music, fresh expressions of prayer, birthday celebrations and other fun ways to worship God! This month we will be looking at 'Jesus and the Enormous Picnic' After the service you are all invited to an enormous picnic in the Rectory Garden! Hot Dogs will be provided, but please bring a plate of 'finger food', a drink, and something to sit on.

A lay-led worship service. This month Judith Hewitt leads us as we consider 'Who is my neighbour?'.
15:00Deanery Picnic in Thorganby
Do join us and other members of Derwent Deanery for a picnic on Sunday 14 July, 3pm at Thorganby Village Hall. If the weather is fine we will picnic in the grounds, but if it's wet we will be in the hall. Do bring: - a chair or picnic mat - food for yourself, and some to share (drinks will be provided) - a musical instrument, if you have one, for the worship - outdoor games We will worship in the church from 4.30 - 5pm. A short reflective Taizé service (c. 30-45 mins) Together we will discover the beautiful music of Unity and Peace from the famous French ecumenical community, Taizé. All welcome.

19:30Evening Fellowship Group
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7.30 for 7.45pm at Victoria and Colin Beale’s house: 9 Church Balk, Dunnington. Newcomers are very welcome to come and try out the group. For more information contact Pamela White on 489849. We are currently exploring at the book of Hebrews, with the help of the 'For Everyone' Bible Study Guide written by Tom Wright.

If you live alone, care for a loved one, want some company then come and join us. Coffee served from 10.45am Roast dinner about 12.15pm Finish at 3.00pm with Holy Communion, if you would like to stay. Contact Judith, 488331, if you would like a lift, or if you are joining us, so we have enough food!
